
Yesterday it looked more like the following picture - this was the rhubarb plant we purchased - different variety - that was planted at the same time. So the first one pushed up some substantial leaves in less than 24 hours. We are happy to see they are sprouting up so quickly.

Our attempts at vegetable gardening above the driveway wall last year were not very successful. There just wasn't enough sunlight. We are now contracting with the landscaper to plant some azaleas there.

Oh what a wonderful sign of spring! Today while doing some spring cleanup in my own garden I was excited to see the dark pink nodules that mean at least one of my rhubarb plants is ready to "spring forth" as well. Roll on rhubarb season!
