That will be our second cucumber of the season in the middle - the first was one of the best we've ever had. The brickbat in the foreground became the star of a zucchini corn bread for our meal last night. Lu just hopes we'll him find something with more protein.

Nothing beats that "just picked from my own garden" taste. Our dog is a good vegetable eater - has Lu tried squash? How are the tomato and rhubarb plants doing this season?
