wildflower meadow

We had a nice bit of rain on Thursday, and yesterday I noticed our "wildflower meadow" which had only a few blooms prior had quite a few white, light pinkish purple, and a brighter magenta. You probably can't see them very well in the first image unless you click to see a larger view.
Fall colors are starting to show up much brighter than just a few days ago when Mom and Dad left to go to back home.

This one was in a clump that had taken root a little away from the rest of the seeded area which is on top of the septic field). The landscapers had missed an area between the house and the septic field but cam back on Friday and scattered an annual grass in that area so we hope that will sprout and hold the slope through the winter, after which we can try again with more wildflowers.
