Cat Gallery

We've been remiss in taking and posting photos of Lily so we'll make up for it today with several new ones from the weekend.

Lily is usually either sleeping, which doesn't make for the most interesting photos, or playing.

Sometimes, she's climbing up the dining room chairs - or clawing them. Here Lu demonstrates use of one of the proper locations for this activity.


Lily seems to think, "Yes, I know about that...."

"But I think that post is a lot more fun for playing than scratching."



With the camera on "drive mode" you sometimes get lucky and get a good picture of Lily's face.

Lily and Lu have developed quite a few games to play. When the laundry basket was in a new place, they came up with a new one.
We wanted to be sure you could appreciate Lily's lithe body. She weighed about two and a half pounds when we brought her home last month. She's up to four pounds now.


And now for an update on Moki's acceptance of Lily. We try to expose Moki to Lily as often as possible under positive circumstances. Mealtimes are one of those. To keep Lily safe, she is in the carrier. Moki is no longer rushing the cage and spitting at her - and she can eat close to Lily. So this is progress - slow, but we are hopeful.

We'll end this Cat Gallery with this shot of Lu, taken during our walk on Sunday, not long before we turned around to head back home. Who can blame the little guy for taking a breather after coming all the way up this slope on his own? This is about a mile from our house.



This is the extension of the development road you take to get to our house. No development has been going on in the area now for a couple of years, and it's closed to vehicle traffic so it's a private place for a cat to go for a walk.
