Where's Moki?

Sherrye asked where Moki was during the recent photos of Lu and Lily. Moki was not accepting the kitten, and being three times Lily's size, and with a history of scratching Lu, we couldn't put them together. But Lily needs to learn her way around the house and time with Lu so they can bond. So, following the advice of our good friend Lisa who fostered cats until she moved to a small farm and started fostering dogs, Moki was removed to Cheryl's quilting studio which had formerly been used as Lily's room.


Moki is pictured in the basket Lily was photographed in last week - quite relaxed. The advice from Lisa paralleled parts of a printout the vet gave us on aggressive cats. We are now feeding Lily and Moki on opposite sides of the studio door, and giving Moki the chance to see the kitten through the door cracked open a couple of inches, while engaged in this pleasant activity. (Lily is very happy to eat anywhere, so we protect her by putting her in a cat carrier). We hope Moki will soon calm down and accept Lily, which the vet advised might take two or three months. Meanwhile, Moki is a much better Studio Cat than Lily - she's used to watching Cheryl work with fabric and doesn't have to try to help as much as Lily did.
