Moki learns new skills

Moki always hated the idea of a leash when we trained Lu on it, so after trying a few times we gave up. However, we've been following ASPCA advice about getting cats together and spent some time getting Moki to accept a leash. Since she's spent so much time in my studio and this week we are taking her out of town to a behavioral specialist, Cheryl thought she should conquer new skills and has been taking her outside the last few days.

It snowed last night - Moki's first steps today were very cautious and large.

But she quickly got used to the cold wet snow.

Cheryl carried Moki to the new meditation spot, but Moki didn't want to spend any time deciding anything, so we headed right back. Like any cat, she chose to walk on the wood edging where available.

She also proved she can climb on cold rocks.

We hope confidence gained during these outdoor walks will help Moki deal with the car ride.

Oh my gosh. Had Moki not been out in the snow before? She did really well.
