Thoughtful Spot

Our landscaper, Dave of Reems Creek Landscaping, reminded us Thoughtful Spot is what Winnie the Pooh might call a place like we just had them build in our yard.

Here's a view of the installation taken from our deck on a cloudy, but not foggy and misty, day.

This photo is taken from just after going down the new stone steps looking back to the house.

And this is the end of the path, which is intended to be the Thoughful Spot. Pooh's own Thoughtful Spot was said to be a good spot for "deciding what to do today". It doesn't look all that large in this photo, but it is plenty big enough for a bench Norris will build.

This next photo is again looking back toward the house - the camera was beyond and lower than the Thoughtful Spot. Even though we don't have a bench yet and might not need one until spring....

... the Thoughtful Person can sit on top of the rear wall and take in these scenic views -

You are a long way from the house and you won't be able to hear the telephone.

Norris will have to take his RCFD pager with him when he needs to go out here to decide about his day.

NOT hearing the phone is a definite PLUS!! What are you planning for the rail planter on the left?

I love it.......can I come think too?

Please do, Sherrye - only I can't recommend it on cold rainy days like this. The planter - you mean where we had the raised garden bed and grew a few veggies last year? We'll be planting earlier this year and hope to have more to enjoy come August!

this looks like a lovely Thoughtful Spot! Great for watching the leaves change color...
